AERONAUTICAL BEACON

This is an aeronautical ground light which is visible at all azimuths, either continuously or intermittently, to designate a particular point on the surface of the earth.

Aeronautical ground light
This is any light specially provided as an aid to air navigation, other than a light displayed on an aircraft.

Examples of Aeronautical Beacon

1. Aerodrome Beacon
Aeronautical beacon used to indicate the location of an aerodrome from the air.

2. Hazard Beacon
An aeronautical beacon used to designate a danger to air navigation.

3. Identification Beacon
An aeronautical beacon emitting a coded signal by means of which a particular point of reference can be identified.
